Palaia is a lovely medieval village of IX century with 4513 inhabitants far away 48,2 km of Pisa's Town.
In 1000 AD, half of Palaia's Town belonged to the bishops of the Lucca, and the other one to the Palaia's people. Palai also stayed under the Florence dominion of 1431 until 1495.
The Palaia economy turn around of the extra virgin oil, wine and tartuffes.
The tartuffe is so much appreciated by italians, and in July happens the "Palaia Tartuffe Festival", bringing many persons to the town .
Outside and Inside of Palaia you can find excelent food, bars, and some parks to take a picnic, or...
...to pray and attend a Mass in the Saint Andrea Church.
On the top of the town you have a 360° views to take the pics, to appreciate the beautiful landscapes, and to relax together the nature.
Thanks for your attention and see you soon!
