in #photography6 years ago (edited)

If you have been following our blog for long, you may have noticed I have been patiently awaiting spring. Well I’m happy to say that it has finally arrived, and here are just a few firsts signs of it on the Homestead.

Our birch hasn’t gone to seed yet, the willows have bloomed.

Ours just started, it’s been a long winter!

Yes it has 😔

Loved the flowers, especially the color on the dandelion! Spring is here for sure in New England after the 80's temps last week...

I love dandelion’s they are always the first color to pop up and therefore are my favorite. I didn’t realize they had those lovely little curlie q’s either... I need to look at things up close more to appreciate it all ❤️.

We have had some 70-80 degree days too, and then we may get snow this weekend 😆... it’s always an adventure! Thank you!

beautiful pics. Hoping to get back to Snowdonia and find it's in full spring! Back in 8days.

Thank you so much! Spring is the best time of the year ❤️

lovely photos! So glad spring has finally arrived for you.

Thank you!! I know you guys have been covered in snow as well, is it finally warming up for you as well?

It sure is! Such a long winter but I suppose it makes us appreciate spring that much more. :)

We had a slow awakening of Spring here too... the weather is topsy turvy so it gets really cold and then super hot and back and forth... but definitely blooming. Grass is as green as it can be. Bees buzzing, I love bees, hardworking little fellows. That stormy sky is so eerily ominous... blue skies are overrated!

I forgot to say that I have linked dandelions on green fields to the memory of my dog Kira... whenever I think of her, I imagine her on her favourite fields, jumping and running among yellow flowers... so for me now dandelions are such a spiritual thing

dandelions are floating on evergreen fields
those yellow flowers incoiling to buds
gently inviting to sleep
Good Night Kira, I let you go, I let you leave

So every time I see dandelion fields I can´t help to shed a tear

What a beautiful yet heartbreaking memory ❤️, sending love your way my friend.

It’s the same here! I get excited about planting in the garden and then it gets cold again. But it’s stunning right now, just like you said... bright green grass and everything coming to life. I agree, clouds in the sky draw me in everytime. Thank you ❤️❤️
