RE: More Spring Flowers and Gardening

in #photography7 years ago

The color varies a lot depending on the monitor, camera and lighting. My prior post has a picture with the same flowers in a vase taken indoors in the sunlight, it looks much more purple to me. There is a nice large patch of these flowers in the yard and I like gazing at them under different lighting conditions. I don't think your color blind, it can vary a lot.

Nice picture from Van Gogh - I had not seen that one before.

Phew Relieved I passed the eye exam, as I've just gotten a new prescription :) I'm no photographer, by any stretch of imagination, but I take snaps, here and there, and know that Light is like an invisible coloring brush. My favorite hour is twilight, when it seems like the entire sky is a vast palette, the colors all being mixed. There's something enchanted about this hour, particularly the softer quality of light, as though the day were reflecting upon itself (between the too-sharp glare and busyness of the sunlit work day and mystery of the dream-ushering moon...)

Glad you enjoyed Van Gogh - he's full of surprises :)

NB - Speaking of the delight of light, here's a related poem I just posted that I hope you might enjoy _/|\_
