Fujifilm X-T100

[Tekst na srpskom] As already announced at the Fujirumours, on May 24th Fujifilm proudly presented a new member of X series — X-T100

This model is clearly aimed as an entry to the Fuji professional system, offering brilliant picture quality without breaking your bank account… that is, if you still didn't went fully crypto :)

At the official Fuji page it is dated April 24 — don't worry, it's May, they just have forgot to change the date. The camera is brand new.

In essence, it is already known Fujifilm X-A5 model ($599 with XC15-45mm Lens Kit), which was put into the X-T20 body, with a few additions. Controls and sensor (Bayer matrix) are taken off the X-A5, EVF was added, Bluetooth is now standard, and now we have another hinge on the rear screen so it can be used for selfies…

What you have at the top level:

  • 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Bayer matrix sensor, but you still have high-speed imaging processor equipped with PDAF system — just like in the top X models.
  • 3” (approx. 1,040K-dot) high resolution LCD touchscreen
  • Standard output sensitivity of ISO200 – ISO12800 and extended output sensitivity ISO100 – ISO51200

On the other hand, video is at the level of X-A5:

  • 4K video recording up to approx. 30 mins, but only 15fps
  • Full HD 1920x1080 59.94p/50p/24p/23.98p, continuous recording up to approx. 30 min.
  • HD 1280x720 59.94p/50p/24p/23.98p, continuous recording up to approx. 30 min.
  • High Speed Movie 1280x720/1.6x/2x/3.3x/4x, continuous recording up to approx. 7 min.

Reduced feature set has one distinct advantage: Improved battery life (Li-ion battery NP-W126S) for still images — approx. 430 frames in comparison to 350 at X-T20 and 320 at X-Pro2.

Start-up period:

  • 0.4 sec., when High Performance mode set to ON
  • 0.8 sec., when High Performance mode set to OFF

Remote operation can be controled through:

  • Bluetooth® version 4.1 low energy technology
  • Wi-Fi® image transfer and remote camera operation

Estimated price would be $600 for the body and $700 with XC15-45mm Lens Kit, which is quite reasonable for the quality. Sales starts from June 18, 2018.

First Look — Duration: 8:15

More details you can find at the at the official Fujifilm website or at www.dpreview.com.

Sort:

Is it MILC? Yes! (sorry CaNiko)
EVF? Yes! (it's a plain stupidity not to have it)
Fully Articulated Screen? Yes! (Why Sony, Why...)
APS-C? Yes! (Why Panasonic/Olympus, Why...)

Keeping this in mind, there is only one natural competitor - Canon M50

Only miss… it's not Fully Articulated Screen, but Double Hinged, @alexs1320 :)

It's still selfie-able ;) Stupid, stupid Sony...

BTW @alexs1320, Fujifilm is preparing a surprise for this year's Photokina (September 25-30). They are going to bury them all! :)

IBIS, IBIS !!! :)

No, something much better, @alexs1320. IBIS is already implemented on X-H1 :)
