On Tuesday, December 17th, under the official title “Concerts of the Young Authors 2019” (KOMA ’19), this year we could see seven compositions, of which we are presenting you three. The first, titled “Veles”, by Mateja Nikolić, student of the third year of composition in the class of professor Branka Popović, was created for piano, violin and cello.

Our main interest was, as always, in a new composition by Veljko Nenadić, a student of composition at the Belgrade Academy of Music Arts, in the class of professor Isidora Žebeljan. This time he came up with a melody called “Towards the Horizon”, made for flute, piano and electronics. I hope we will soon have the chance to hear it when Veljko put it up at YouTube.

The end of concert was reserved for the longest composition this evening, work of Olga Janković, final year student of composition in the class of professor Svetlana Savić. Her composition is made for two pianos and percussion, titled “Motus Animi Continuus”.

Every concert brings an amount of stress. It’s nice to see happy faces of young artists after their performances…
