Yard Friends~ Daily life in the Tropics
Green Anole~ these sweet guys love to challenge each other in our yard by blowing up their red necks and head bobbing up and down. It's hilarious to watch! Their greatest move is a lizard leap and a skin change to pure black, all opponents back down to this move.
Geckgo Eggs~ often lie around in wee tree crevices, and are a favorite find of all the kids that come over to play in our gardens!
The beautiful blue tailed pacific skink~ these little tiny guys are rare and striking to come across but every now and then we get lucky! This picture just doesn't do them justice though, their tails are truly a brilliant blue!
Sweet wild Banana trees and flowers~ house all kinds of critters as they hold water in their large crevices. We love to hunt here for lizards and harvest fruit, of coarse!
And last but not least the incredible banana spider! They build 2 and 3 foot webs over night and look a wee bit nasty but play in our yard harvesting bugs and are very harmless to spite their incredible size!

Wow, the Banana Spider actually looks somewhat like a little person!! The pics are so interesting! 😍
Nice, one of our boy's fav's as their stitch work looks like the seams on our clothing- very impressive! He's always loved exploring for friends out in the gardens:)
Lookls like a cousin to spongebob!
"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!" Hahahha, love it!
