Everyday and Curious Encounters #13

This picture was taken during a weekend trip to Arosa, Switzerland, where a close friend of mine celebrated her birthday.

The cold weather allowed me to slowly approach this butterfly with my smartphone to take pictures. The butterfly was "patient" enough to let me take many pictures of it.

I think this picture is one of the best photos I achieved to make with my smartphone. I just cannot get over how detailed this picture came out to be. If one looks close enough, even the scales of the wings become visible in this picture!
