Las Vegas w/ The Craft Beer pinup!

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Hey, Steemit! Day two of the new MacBook Pro arrangement, Photoshop, Wacom support and yes, Magic: The Gathering Arena on my Windows partition. For some reason, tonight, my editing process felt slightly awkward, and I can’t put my finger on why. I’m assuming it’s not having my exact Photoshop preferences in tact. The ones I’ve used for years. All in all, I have my work and play in the same machine. After a disruptive week of illnesses, holiday’s, technological complications, things seem to be getting back to normal.

I have photos to share from Viva Las Vegas! I know that doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I assure you, it is! It’s so weird to be both “ahead” and so far behind at the same time. Editing photos from April is enough proof for me that my efforts at catching up are in fact working. This client’s name is Kimberly and she goes as the Craft Beer Pinup. She made the trip from London to be with us during the Rockabilly Weekend in Las Vegas, and she booked one of my last available shoots just months before the event.

On the evening of our shoot, things completely spiraled out of control, as is usually the case […at one point] during Viva Las Vegas. I had a location cancelation and make-up artist cancelation in the same day. Finding a last minute replacement for each set things behind and I ended up having to take two clients, Kimbery and Força, at the same time. I’ve done back to back sessions, but because of evening commitments for all of us, they had to happen simultaneously!

These are just the first few images of Kimbery, The Craft Beer Pinup. There’s more to this story, and the dark pinup session, but I’ll save that for the next set and blog post. In the meantime, enjoy these first few photos shot at The Artisan Hotel. She was an absolute delight to work with and she’s been dying to see these images. I’ll be sending them to her immediately after publishing this blog. Thanks for reading and supporting me on Steemit. For more photography, follow me here @kommienezuspadt!

This lady got no tattoo but still as hot! <3

The first images are dazzling the dressing and the settings is quite Elizabethen, brings a chilly gothic feeling down the spine she's an absolute stunner and my! What a shot man.
I guess the holidays and the illnesses will take it's toll but the work will continue, how are you holding up? I've been ill myself

Hello Lars, how are u doing? Thank God if everything returns to normal and you can post your writing regularly. Wow ... your model this time is really beautiful. You are very lucky to be with beautiful women all the time The photos are also amazing. Enjoy your day, sir.

I especially like the pictures on the wall of interior.

I wish I could shoot like you. I am terrible when it comes to shots with a lot going on so I end up having a main focal point and a lot of negative space, but you are able to find a balance between and hide and reveal the right parts of the frame with the correct intensity. Nice work as always.

This is super cute! I actually follow her on Instagram! Love the hair!

She's a beauty, @artedellavita, and she told me she received the photos in the subway and started crying. That's such a sweet thought.

Yes! those could be the consequences, it could affect the predefined functions that you had so to speak. I think I've never read a publication where it says that your trip was normal that everything went as you had agreed and so on. Things always happen to you at the last moment and that is normal happens to everyone, but many do not have that ability to fix things in a moment of despair, you already have many years in that industry and have the necessary experience to deal with those cases. Also I do not know why, but whenever that happens, those last moments, the photos are spectacular, nobody would realize what you have gone through to do it, if you did not say it you would think that everything was very planned.

Oh! I forgot, :P in the last publication I saw that you are a reputation.

72 Congratulations @kommienezuspadt!

That's great, you deserve to be there! I think being there should be great but beyond that, It's a slow trip but full of emotions, sharing what you do, meeting people and enjoying so many things here in the community is a great reward, ..

Regards!

Thank you, @yanes94! That's definitely true. My trips are often unpredictable and don't go as planned. Hitting a 72 has been really cool.

LOL Yeah! But it's good! The photos always look great, then the trip is a success :).

You deserve it! I have not arrived there yet, but I recently turned 2 years old at Steemit and I have the reputation of 67 and I'm jumping on one leg :), getting to 72 hmmmmm would make a party LOL.
