You were lucky to get such a wonderful shot. The day I went was very very windy, and bitter cold so that when it rose, it was blown to the side horizontally. I hung around for around 30 minutes for a good photo opportunity but it wasn't to be. ☹️
I agree, it was lucky indeed, but i find that sometimes photography has a big element of luck - being in the right spot at the right time etc. When i went to diamond beach in the south, for example, a storm front moved in as we got there and i couldn't get a single shot without getting rain on my lens. So frustrating lol
