Fishing huts in Salgótarján
These images lead back to the past, to the decades of socialism in Hungary. At that time, everyone was working somewhere, mostly for very little pay, yet they lived in relative prosperity. Although foreign (mainly western) holidays were only rarely possible for the exception, everyone was able to relax on weekends. What would have been calming then fishing? A tiny little hut at a pond was just enough for happiness. It was best to build it yourself from recycled materials that you got from your workplace, for free of course! These "patchwork" huts are so ugly that they already look beautiful together, and people are still using them!
