Picture Stories #183 - Bird Pose 🦅
The one quality of birds that can be very appealing is the way they pose with their beautiful feathery bodies. Birds are so lucky to have been blessed with the ability of flight (unlike us wingless humans), and they use full advantage of this power and even showoff by posing with their majestic wings swung wide open as can be seen in the picture. The below photo is of a bird I encountered at an exhibit, and although it is not alive it still looks so real, lifelike and with an excellent, dramatic pose. It happens to be an Australian Kestrel, which belongs to the falcon family.
Falcons being carnivorous and predatory birds, they depend on speed, agility and good vision to find their food and attack their prey.

That's definitely an interesting capture. Falcons, eagles, hawks are all the birds of flight and its so interesting and exciting to see them, high in the skies. Nature is awesome.
well, the wingless humans can fly but sadly the planes' tickets are more and more expensive :D
I really do like the falcon, it’s agility and fast speed makes it an impressive predatory bird !
My favorite bird would still be the Golden Eagle that has been used for centuries in falconry to hunt rabbits hare and even small foxes.
To be honest I think it is us people that are blessed with the best nature could give - brain - which gave us flight that is so much better than that of birds. Sure, birds have their "organic beauty" but that's only because nature sacrificed everything to give them flight, so every piece of bird seems in place, smoothed out over the millenia in that one purpose. Flight is their life. Humans on the other hand can become anything. Even in the narrow field of flying we are more versatile and better - we can lift more weight in the air, fly faster and higher, for much greater distances etc. A falcon can never hover like a hummingbird, a sparrow cannot glide like a crane, but for humans such changes in the ability to fly is just a matter of swapping equipment or chosing different machine. And the best is still ahead. With only one technological leap we will merge with machines (in fact we have to do it or we will go extinct) and then, with all sensory input coming from artificial sources, we will become those machines - in flight we will feel just like birds.
@jznsamuel, Yes, Birds are beautiful creatures and for sure wings are just gifts for them and they are natural flights for sure.
And whenever they fly, they literally tease and they inspire us to, at least our dreams should fly, and we have to see motivating aspect in every creation.
And yes, sometimes their posture can give great essence because with those wings they became more attractive.
And in my opinion our World is an art piece and we have so many different creatures and creations which can give healing essence after exploration.

What made me interested in this bird was that when they caught their prey while flying, they were very beautiful when they flew, and another thing that attracted me was its large wings and filled with feathers that looked like scaly.
I'm afraid of large birds of prey! :) Once I had to save a chicken from a bird of prey :)))
