Visit to the Museum of Natural History of Berlin - 1 Part.

I recently went with my son to visit the Natural History Museum in Berlin.

This museum was established as such in the year 1810 and is the largest natural history museum in Germany. The collection of minerals is impressive since it collects 75% of all that are in the earth, about 250 000 types of which there are only in exhibition about 4000. It also has the Guinness record for the largest mounted dinosaur skeleton in the world . But you'll see it in the photos :)

If you walk through Berlin and have children, this is a must to visit. Also if you do not have children too ;)

I took a lot of photos so I'm going to divide them into two entries. The first dedicated to the Paleontology room and a part of the Zoology room and the second at the end of the Zoology room and the Mineralogy room.

The center of all museum exhibits. The Giraffatitan Brancai.

Other photos of the dinosaur room.

Petrified animals.

This is a Dragon?

Meteorites.

Saber tooth skull.

And here the stuffed animals begin.

Knut, the only polar bear born in captivity. He was born in Berlin Zoo and died at age 5.

@juanmiguelsalas Lucky you cause we wanted to go there during our visit in Berlin but had to choose between this and the museum island and ran out of time the next day falling in a long line to get in the Bundestag. We missed out on this so thank you very much for sharing the stuff in it!

Very nice pictures. I will try to pass by this place if I go back to Berlin in the future (and if I have time for tourism).

Thanks @lemouth! It is a very interesting place. You should try to take 3-4 hours to visit the museum if you pass by Berlin. Recommended :)

Was just there last week, but not for tourism :) The time constraint is always important in my case ^^

Very interesting. I really should go there, too, if I am in Berlin again.

Thanks for your comment @jaki01 and yes, you should visit the Museum if you have the chance :)

Thanks to you for your comment :) Glad you like it.

certainly a lot of knowledge contained therein

Indeed! Not to mention what is not on exhibition that is the majority of all the material that owns the museum.
