Lights of the Belgian LGBT Pride Parade at the Grote Markt in Brussels, Belgium.
This Friday I was in Brussels, Belgium because a friend of mine from Cuba also and DJ was going to play in one of the best clubs in the city, the Zodiak and invited me to the party. Of course I said yes. And not only for the party or to see my friend again but also for the opportunity to visit Brussels.
When we arrived it was already night, like 9:30 and on the way to the hotel in the taxi I noticed a tower that looked like a tower of the church lit with colored lights.
The tower caught my attention, it looked different.
We arrived at the hotel, received the rooms and went to meet with the other DJs and with the boss of the Label who organized the party and who is also a great friend. I asked him about the tower and he told me.
I'll take you now, that's very close. The place where it is is called the Grote Markt.
The square was two blocks from the Zodiak club. When we got there he told me that those lights have not always been there. That the lighting was due to the Belgian LGBTQ Pride Parade that was held on May 20 and as the people of the city liked it very much have been left.
The truth is that it looks nice.
The Brussels Jazz Marathon had also finished that same day. It was noticeable that there had been a concert in the square.
He also made me the architect's story of the tower that struck me when I got to the city. When the construction of the tower was finished, it was not in the middle. The buildings on the sides already existed so the space was limited and at that time this type of buildings was built first the tower and then the sides. Well, the tower was not in the middle and when the architect realized, because of the shame he felt, climbed the tower and jump from it committing suicide. Finally the building was finished but one side was with 10 windows and the other with only 8 and with different designs. Also the number of arches on the ground floor are different.
And you want to know how the party was on the Zodiac?
Well super good. Ended at 8 am and from there straight to the hotel to sleep. I still have a little pain in my feet dancing so much :)

Brussells is one of my favourite European cities for the senses. Beautiful architecture, lovely hotels, the whole place smells like waffles and the beer is awesome. Sadly it's is instrumental part in the EU fascist paradigm and the Capital of European paedophilia.

Thanks @justtryme90 :) this old buildings with the lights are really a cool, pretty and also practical idea to rehabilitate old zones (I know some cities that could use this idea). They also did it there with LEDs to save in electricity, so much better ;) . Glad you like the pics.
