South American Saturday: View of Santa Catalina Monastery in Arequipa, Peru
Arequipa is Peru's second biggest city, but experts predict a disaster if the volcano "El Misti" that you can spot in the background erupts. Arequipa has a beautiful old town and Santa Catalina Monastery is a true city inside a city.

Yep, we are so happy to be here in Suriname now. There were so many active volcanoes in Ecuador too. They are beautiful but not something I would want to live next to.
I loved those volcanoes! But sure, they are scary as hell, one was erupting when I was hiking near Banos..
