I have purchased stones for $0.05 each.
Farmers pick up stones when they are planting etc,; then in the winter polish them with a jam peg polishing machine. If they make a dollar a day, they are making more money in the winter, than they do farming in the summer.
yes but if you can buy them and resale them for many times what you paid then you could feed alot more orphans right? what do you put into ebay to look around, just gemstones?
Ebay is a good source. BUT be sure to filter out China, they lie! Gemstones or in this case sapphire would be a good search too.
You need to decide what you want, and what you are willing to pay. A lot of gem sales will discount shipping, so when you get a gemstone, look at what else the same vendor has that interests you. Let them know you are shopping their store, and will pay when you are done.

If you know where to shop, yes this is a repeatable deal. With the certification slip, and the extra $10, it is a pretty safe buy.

I have some of every type of gemstones, and Today that $30 would feed six orphans in Kenya for a month...I enjoy the gemstones, but not that much!
