Another micro picture of a gemstone, a 4 mm royal blue sapphire.
Here is another try with the new micro lens.
This is a 4 mm royal blue sapphire (0.33 ct.) with good color saturation. I chose this one, because I purchased a certification with this stone, which I will include for fun.
Here is the certification :
Here is the stone:
So what do you think of the sapphire? It's hard to get this much color in a 4 mm stone!
:)
it's good! what did you pay for it?
About $30 out of Madagascar. It was an extra $10 for the certification.
I liked the color saturation. It is hard to get such deep colors in a 4mm stone.
It is a clean stone also, which is a large part of the value of this gemstone. The round cut is popular too.

but why would they sell it for $30 if the value is 750?
They had a gemstone, and wanted the $30 more. I had $30, and wanted the gemstone more.
Everyone is happy...
I have purchased stones for $0.05 each.
Farmers pick up stones when they are planting etc,; then in the winter polish them with a jam peg polishing machine. If they make a dollar a day, they are making more money in the winter, than they do farming in the summer.

how rare is that deal you got?
If you know where to shop, yes this is a repeatable deal. With the certification slip, and the extra $10, it is a pretty safe buy.
Be blessed!

sir smithlabs..if it's a repeatable deal why don't you just do that everyday?
WHAT, and miss out on a SBD or two? :)
I have some of every type of gemstones, and Today that $30 would feed six orphans in Kenya for a month...I enjoy the gemstones, but not that much!
