Continental Drift: The collision Point of continental Plates
Today my post is about the collision point of two continental plates. The place where two continental plates i.e. Indian and Eurasian continental plates meet. The place where these two plates collided about 55 million years ago.
During our visit to Gilgit-Baltistan this year in June we came across a point where we saw the sign board with "Collision Point of Continental plates 200m" written on it.
The point where two worlds meet each other! Its the collision point of two worlds two continental plates. The point is 200m from this board.

Then we headed about 200m from this point to capture the exact point where the two continental plates meet. The point where they collided. Due to this collision three giant mount ranges came into being which are The Karakoram, The Hindukush and The Himalayas.
Before sharing the pics I would like to describe the exact location of the point. Bidru-Kha is part of Chalat valley, about 70 kilometres from Gilgit, on the Karakoram Highway and 40 kilometres from the junction point of the three mightiest mountain ranges – the Karakoram, the Hindu Kush and the Himalayas. It means about 40 Km away from this point there is another point where the three mountain ranges. I don't have any pics related to that point so, you may search for that point. So, lets emphasis on Bidru-Kha "where the two worlds are colliding" and it is continued till now.
In this Photo you can clearly see the three different giant structures the three different mountain ranges

Thanx for your complement. Fact is that the three giant mountain ranges Karakuram, Hindukush and Himalaya also meet in Pakistan. Just 40Km from the collision point indian and eurasian continental plates. I don't have pix of that point. I will try to capture some pics of that point too. But i have some interesting pics of other places situated in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. I am your follower now and i have upvoted your post too. Thanx again...
