Backyard fishing at its' best!
You guys do know that some "frogs" is a delicacy in some parts of the world? In the Philippines, the wet season brings a lot of EDIBLE insects, animals, and what not. In our province where farmlands surround towns and barrios...FROGS can be found in the fields and being sold in the market. This has always been the norm as I knew it when growing up.
Arriving the other day from Manila, my nephew and his friends were doing stuff in the backyard, off and under the rain. My curiosity led me to those awesome photos in our backyard. They didn't get much with the baby ones I asked to be returned back to the field. Am sure, those boys will catch them in a couple of weeks time.
Hello @immarojas, I hope your nephews have better luck and can catch it soon and take it out of your backyard, which is if the pictures were beautiful, congratulations and blessings.
That field is behind our backyard...and although i sometimes see frogs at our doorstep, nobody catches them to eat, only at the fields😁
Baka palaka po ang makuha instead of isda? Hehehe... PALAKA nga!!! Nyahahaha...
Masarap din yung palakang Bukid!
Palakang bukid nga kuya😁😁
Akala ko kung anung fishing. Everytime we visit one of our barkada in Murcia, he would always have spicy adobong palaka served for us. It has been a tradition for our group for the past years since we were in college. Did you try this?

Not adobo but ginigisa nila..the smaller ones get fried☺

I think parang lasang manok haha, it's very rare for me as i don't usually stay in the province.
Hahaha. Ou nga. Parang lasang manok. I can't really remember the taste kasi in almost all those times na kumain kami nun I remember nothing more on what happens the rest of the day or night.

I remember yan from all those years haha
Nope. You're definitely not getting me eating a frog @immarojas. Although if the meat was taken off the bone and it looked like chicken I might give it a go .😂
Good spot for a bit of fishing. If he gets hungry he could just pick a banana. 😁
Tastes like chicken Gillian..and dont worry, even the kids at home dont like it haha
True with the banana but i dont think there's any😂🤣
Increible como pescan ranas @immarojas, tienes un gran patio trasero lleno de muchas plantas de banano, espero tu sobrino pueda retirar la mayoria de los insectos en tu patio
Haha no frogs on our backyard please😅
Nice post
