Lifehacks for photographers and not only!))

Hello Steemit!

I would like to share with you a couple of secrets and effects that I discovered for myself, working as a photographer. These things you can find and use at any time, without special equipment and expensive costs.

1 ● Reflector substitute

To begin with... what is a reflector? This, for the most part, is a flat thing that has multi-colored sides - black, white, gold, silver. They are used to reflect the sun on a poorly lit object, or to level the tone. Black is used to absorb color. Gold is used to create the effect of sun tan.

If you do not have it, but there was a moment that you really need to highlight the face / object or remove the parasitic color, you can use any available white thing. For example, for this photo, I asked the model to put her white jersey on her knees)

2 ● Color light.

Color filters are of two types: glass / plastic, requiring a special nozzle for flashes, and thin folic films, which are usually fastened with adhesive tape. Not always at hand there are such filters. So what should we do if they are not available at the right time?) We will need useful tools such as colored scoops and folders for papers!

Scoops are convenient because in most cases they do not need to be fixed in addition, because of the shape. Folders are practically the same folic films and they can be attached with tape. Colors, by the way, can be combined and get new, and when you use several folders of the same color you can get a more saturated tone :) They can also be used for conventional, built-in and external camera flashes, just cut out the strips of the required width.

3 ● Throw the sand.

This is one of my most favorite and popular effects. Basically, I use it in the studio, but you can also use it for street shooting. It will make the pictures very interesting and unforgettable))

The main thing here is that the light source should be behind the object. Sand should be scattered between light and object. Outside the studio, the source is the sun or an external flash. It looks especially good when shooting at sunset) If you do not have sand at hand, you can use flour. And, to make the shots even more interesting, you need to use color filters to tint the sand :)

4 ● Shooting through other objects.

This effect I saw long ago, on the Internet, but I forgot about it now, because Basically I shoot portraits, where you do not need anything extra. If you want to experiment, you can try attaching such things as a cellophane package to the lens to create a fog effect (the package should be with a cut bottom), or a large sheet with a round hole in the middle.

Thank you for attention and apologize for my English :)
