Finally I decided to tell about our participation with Anastasia Boyarskaia in photo contests!

For the first time we participated in the contest - "TOP MODEL" (the contest was in the social network Vkontakte), in the summer of 2016. We passed 3 test stages, but in the main competitions did not get, as well as in all other competitions, but got a lot of experience))

● The very first task was a photoshoot with clothes in the style of Boho. Frankly, I did not like this style very much, and there were practically no suitable clothes. But nevertheless, we tried and still managed to go further. The shooting took place, by the way, on a small plot, right on the edge of a mountain by the river.

● The second task was "Sweet Life", shooting using sweets and accessories from them. The style at us turned out not strongly sweet and more likely, any cold, therefore we were on last passing position. And there was a lot of retouching, I noticed this not immediately.

When we came to the studio, the administrator persuaded Nastya to play with him in Mortal Kombat. It lasted a long time, but we did not hurry, because he said that after us in the studio, there will be no one. But, when we went to do the make-up, he began to rush us and said that the clients were about to come, which was extremely unpleasant. As a result, I had to do everything very quickly and take away someone else's time in the studio.

● And the third ... I do not even remember what the task was called, but the point was to take pictures of the sleeping model and its awakening in unusual places. For this case, we chose the only dam in the city, next to which there were many green islands in the river.

All that season she was advised to change the photographer, and change the retouching to the photographer. Later retouching was improved, but it did not help either.

After almost a year, and having gathered with the spirit, we decided to participate again, but this time in two competitions in parallel.

● The first task of the qualifying stage happened again in "TOP MODEL". It was necessary to shoot with the accent of red and it does not matter whether it's reflected in the background or clothes.

We had a lot of ideas and liked the topic, but we decided not to give too much to this contest, because the main priority was the second one - "DAS MODELL" (also on VKontakte).

● The second task was portrait shooting with stickers on the face. Portraits are my favorite subject. This is something that I can do well and in principle, the result was quite amusing, but we again took the last position.

● And we decided not to do the third task at all, in order to concentrate completely on Das, because we knew that there was no chance for us to hit the top. The task was the theme of the dolls, which did not inspire us. This time we decided not to retouch Nastya at all ... And about the MIRACLE! For the first time they did not mention retouching. Probably they forgot, because of the general impression.

In "DAS MODELL", Nastia dreamed of getting there a very long time, probably a year or more. She liked the judges, the situation, the tasks, but everything turned out not quite as we expected ...

● The first task was Maslenitsa. Nastya did not like this topic, but she quite suited me. The problem here was that in the European part of the country (namely, from there most of the participants), at that time it was already quite warm, but we, still had the winter and did not manage to hold a full photo session failed because it was very cold. And after this photo shooting, Nastia fell ill = /

By the way, our backstage was published first))

● The second task was Metal)) More precisely metallized clothes. Just, shortly before the announcement of the assignment, I looked at H & M an unusual suitable dress. But we needed something else, combinations, combinations .. and we decided to use the top that I sewed for a photo shoot on the farm. And Nastya did a miracle with her old boots at all! She cut them, made wings and sealed them with silver, and after the end of the photo session gave them to me :) Now they are waiting for a new photo shoot!

The final result we liked very much and we were confident in it, so we immediately held a photo session for the third task.

● The third and final task of the selection stage were portraits with non-standard use of red lipstick. And since there was a lot of controversy in Das about Nastya brow ... we decided to recoup on this topic, taking pictures of 3 types: with a lack of eyebrows, with huge red eyebrows and just beautiful portraits with trees on the face, painted with lipstick.

BUT ... these pictures were no longer destined to see the light. After I enthusiastically started to process the new material, we learned that we did not get into the third stage. It was a real shock and it was very insulting. As it was explained to us afterwards, it happened because there were few full-height photographs and a lot of portrait photos.

This is the whole problem of participating in such competitions. The matter is that after each stage of the qualifying assignments, a broadcast is conducted where the judges express their opinion about the photo sessions (since full reviews in writing are only available in the main competition). And in these broadcasts, they tell us what they would like to see in the past mission. For example, as it turned out, here they needed more poses and growth photographs. That is, the contest is whether you will guess what the judges want or not.

Therefore, we do not plan to take part in the following seasons. But I think when I have a new camera, we will definitely return and show them what we are capable of! :D
