This IS NOT A Stone (#6)
“The stone that I placed in the shallow waters of the pond in my backyard 25 years ago, I bought in a garden centre as decoration suggesting nature in a suburban manbuild garden.
My choice for this stone may have subconsciously been influenced by my past.
When I was a young boy I walked my dog in Sonsbeek Park in Arnhem three times a day.
I always made sure to pass the big waterfall made out of impressive glacial stones. I also always lingered at the stones under these big trees that reflected in the water of a big pond.
These images must have settled in my brain.”
