Those are beautiful butterflies! Their wings are so interesting with the strong veins all through them. I can't think of another butterfly that has such big veins like that. So much like a leaf! Great photos and I hope you see some brimstones soon!

To my surprise, the brimstones weren't the first ones out. I went looking yesterday, and this is what I found.
