The golden resin seeps out of the timber. In the middle of nowhere, among thousands of small islands in the swedish archipelago, a tiny house is floating on the water. A fire heats up the sauna to 80 °C. Outside the water is dark and cold.
But when you are sweaty enough, you just want to jump in to it!
Steemit, welcome to the floating sauna!
Resin seeps out of the timber
A fire heats up the sauna, splash water on the hot stones to get more "steem" ;)
Open the hidden door in the floor and take a bath!
This is such a peaceful, lonely, lovely place
Moss growing on the tiny house
You can walk around it
Wouldn't it be a dream to have a place like this to escape to?
To be honest, I don't sauna too much because it's not as common here in The Netherlands as it is in Sweden. However, I am thinking of switching over to a gym where you can use the sauna for free right after you work out!
Honestly, a floating sauna is something I’ve never heard of before, so the idea sounds completely new and a bit unusual to me. I’m not even sure how it works in practice or whether it’s convenient at all. Right now, I’m actually looking through different outdoor sauna options for myself, because they seem much more practical and easier to set up. You can place one in the yard, use it year-round, and you don’t have to depend on special conditions or complicated installations. A floating version sounds exotic and fun, but for everyday comfort I’m leaning more toward a classic outdoor sauna — something functional, stable, and convenient for regular relaxation without extra hassle.
Thank you so much! :D Yes you should come visit us here (and try the sauna), it would be so fun! The pictures is taken by my iPhone 4, I like photography but want to buy a better camera :)
I freaggin' LOVE SAUNA!
Oh me to, it's so nice!! Also the heat stress (and cold) is good for your body :) Where do you "sauna"?

Nice...now just need to take some food in there and it's all sorted.
Yeah, that would be perfect! :D There is a small grill there too, or maybe just do some barbeque on the hot stones haha
The green water looks enchanting!
It's so nice that you can jump in to it from inside the sauna :)
