A secluded beach

in #photography6 years ago

I live in a small, yet beautiful country. Unfortunately, year after year, we see trees and small patches of forest disappear from the bigger cities, luckily, nature is half an hour drive away.

The name of the country is irrelevant here. If you have been following my posts, you already know where I live. Just enjoy the photos.

Just a 30-minute drive allows us to reach this forest right beside the freeway. Stepping out of the car feels liberating, with fresh forest air and a even a distant breath of sea-air filling our lungs.

We take this quiet forest path, hopefully this will lead us to the sea.

I faintly remember being here when i was much younger, with my grandparents. Something is familiar about this place. Or perhaps it's just some nostalgia kicking in.

Luckily, my nostalgia is immediately interrupted by these delicious wild strawberries right beside the path.

You don't probably have to guess twice, what I did with those berries. Yep, you are right - I gave them to my girlfriend.

Wouldn't want to walk here barefoot - areas around some trees are riddled with pinecone grenades.

There it is. Smell it, feel it. The sea.

Losing my flip-flops now. The beach is calling.

This part of the beach feels almost private, as most of the people spend their time at the public beaches.

We walk along the narrow strip of sand along the shore, further away from everyone.

You can see some dry seaweed on the shore. It adds color and personality to the beach.

Some can be seen in the shallow water as well, but after a few steps, the water clears up.

This place is just too perfect. We have a picnic, a cold beer, swim, and thoroughly enjoy the day.

A slight summer breeze is creating small waves and keeps us from overheating.

Later, we take the longer way back to the car, walking even further to the next beach. We take a look back towards the beach and follow a plank road into the forest.

Can't wait for the next time to come here.

Secluded beaches are the best beaches to enjoy

You don't like other tourists?

So much of the Baltic coast is a gorgeous undiscovered wilderness. A few years ago I spent quite a bit of time in Liepaja in Latvia. The coast there was very similar. You could walk for miles up the beach, have bbqs and it was totally fresh and untouched. Happy memories.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend mate :-)

Ah nice! I had a recent trip to Latvia as well, but one can only cover so much ground in 3 days. Only managed to visit the northwest beaches, Riga, Gauja River and Sigulda national park. Liepaja, Ventspils, Kuldiga are all on my list for future exploration. Thanks for the comment!

These landscapes are very natural, very similar to those from my country
can you tell me where you were doing these pictures :)?

This is one of the forest land deforested for beautification but still you can find many beautiful places and approach to the beach through forest untouched by mankind.
