The World's Biggest Balloon Sculpture
This past week has been the international science festival in Edinburgh. It involves lots of exhibits and events all over the city. Two years ago the major theme was eating insects (as an alternative meat source). I'm not sure what this year's overall theme is as I've been too busy to pay attention.
However, they have setup a giant balloon sculpture in the museum that has been difficult to ignore! Even busy as I am! This is the largest balloon structure in the world currently. Constructed entirely out of balloons and nothing else.
It took 25,000 balloons and 13 people working 50 hours each around the clock to make.
It's called "event horizon".
I nearly forgot to mention, the thing rotates too, so when you stand directly under it and look up that swirly pattern become rather hypnotic.

Wow great structure, zoomed in at the bottom construction shot to take a closer look at the building techniques. And great shots of it, love the spiral shot inside. Cheers
