Nasty little pests..
Pretty, but if you don't pay attention they will eat you alive.. Or at least eat you cabbage :)
I tried to ID this one and The closest thing I found is Western White butterfly [Pontia occidentalis], but all the info tells me they live only in North America. How would he get to Portugal then?
I though it was the common Cabbage Butterfly, but the wing pattern in different.
If someone knows exactly what is this muncher called I will be grateful for the info. In the meantime enjoy the photos. I rally like how that cabbage blooms :)

As always, great photos! And, the wrecker of the butterfly or not - it's beautiful! After all, it does not harm me :-) ha-ha

Thank you!
Maybe two years... but it is all just for fun :)
From a distance, I would probably have identified this as a female orange tip (Anthocharis cardamines). Maybe a close relation? I asked @faltermann to have a look, he is good at this sort of thing.
And they're not pests 8-P.
Edit: @faltermann says it is probably a green-striped white (Euchloe belemia), and he could well be right 8-).
He just might be right :D
they all look the same :p little pests
my jaw dropping again from your shot.
awesome shot sist as always
Haha Thanks :D
I looked in my book Die Schmetterlinge Europas und Nordwestafrikas and do not believe in (Pontia occidentalis). But it could be (Euchloe belemia). He flies in Spain and Portugal.
Hmm... it could be the one you are saying. Pity I didn't manage to get better and closer photos. I kept running away.
Thanks! :)
