The Unexpected Christmas Gift
Where I live, the weather has been much more like spring than winter for the past two or three days, making for some strikingly non-winter "cloudscapes".
When the pictures for this post were taken, there was a balmy southern breeze and plenty of warm sunshine, a great way to ease into the New Year, IMO. December is usually cold here (an ice storm is not unusual - snow is), but there are exceptionally mild years also.
To me, this picture from the 24th almost looks like a dragon that has just taken flight from the ground and is heading up through the clouds. (I also added an edited version of the same picture to help demonstrate how I see it.)
A view of the sunset Christmas Eve.

Very kind, thank you :)
Yup, I see the dragon! I love sky shots. I have so many of them. I love the pinks and blues in the last one....
I have a folder with nothing but beautiful sky pictures on my phone and laptop - I've become a bit of a collector over the years. Thanks for stopping by!!
me too....a folder with sky shots.....I mean, how many can I look at? But I love them all....they are so colourful and different....each has it's own "something".
