Colorado Lake and Spout
Hello, now that I may have your attention, all photos on my Steemit are taken by yours truly. I thought I'd share some of my work. I love photography and I have always wanted to take a class, but never got around to it. So, during my travels I've used my iPhone (of various numbers) and taken shots. Maybe someday I will get it together and purchase a camera. The price always seems to stop me, as I'd rather buy a ticket to Thailand or go visit my family. The photos in this post are during a hike I took up to Hanging Lake, Colorado in the fall of 2017. I will be posting many more photos of hikes, travel, and adventures as it's a typical weekend event.
Hanging Lake happens to be a very sacred site and is high traffic March through October.
The hike is a tough one with a rocky trail and rated moderate. This is a National Monument.
I've lived in many places, but Colorado is one of the most beautiful. I do miss San Francisco and New York City quite a bit, but the fresh air of the mountains and hot springs bring me joy.
Can you tell I love water. I'd carry on about Mni Wiconi (Water is Life) or Mother Earth, and as much as I am for preserving culture and earth, I'm just as happy to enjoy what I have right now. Sometimes we just have to take a breather and calm our tit$. Can I say that on Steemit. *shrugs. These are my first blogs ever, on any type of platform, so hopefully this is a place I can just say what I feel without judgments. I'm not all "woo-woo," and I can get into a political, bitcoin, cryptocurrency, ethereum, Planet X, survivalist, gun toting conversation with the best of them and maybe I will, but for now I think I'll just meditate on these beautiful photos I took of a very magical place, here on earth. Good eye for composition! You should think about trying to get a full blown camera. You can grab older models off of Ebay and what not. I've been using an old t2i for about 8 years and only have just gotten a newer camera.

I have thought about it, but you see the t2i is a foreign language and I'm lost. LOL. I do need to put on my big girl panties and do it. Thank you for the encouragement and kind words! :)
t2i is an canon camera from 8 years ago I bought and still use. Older cameras are dirt cheap and still take decent pictures, it's really the lenses that you need to save money for >.>
Again, good luck! Start small and cheap and work your way up!

Upvoting your post is ok, upvoting comments doesnt help because of the way curation works.
You can upvote your comments to move them up the feed, but it looks bad to most folks.
It also lessens their benefit, so some wont vote comments that already have votes because they want the full rewards they get for voting first.
@freebornsociety ah so it’s some sort of greed thing going on. Which I’m reading is the way to go. Instead of it being an acknowledgement, for instance the “like” on Facebook it’s a monetary reward fo those that upvote a comment? Thank you for giving me more info, the more I learn the better. Well, some folks vote because they like the content, some like the authors, and some like rewarding themselves.
If you do what you do, rather than trying to conform, you may not get rich friends, but you will get the right ones.
Ultimately one only has to persist in putting out 'good' content and the audience should come.
9 out of 10 of us can't be in the top 10%.
