Scent of Christmas
I can see it now. There is magic in the air, I can feel the warmth of it creeping closer to my heart.
Look harder
This year, I hope to take a little time out from the hurry up, hustle and bustle with a side of stress, hold the anger, please, from the season… and spread a little love and throw around some joy as the other alternative. I think that joy grows as the love is spread. I am sure that's the truth. Or the truth as I know it.
So you think that Christmas has died a slow death? No, never - only your perceived expectations. You should keep Christmas safe for the next generation and the next.
I say that some good old seasonal voluntary work or helping out in a homeless shelter, maybe getting involved with one of the numerous Santa Runs is in order. I can already feel the warm and fuzzy of this joyful season - and maybe it can also help somebody else recapture the magic of Christmas. The magic in my heart.

A beautiful post about Christmas, you have to be a little exalted to keep Christmas unchanged in your heart, not to see the changes! Please, believe me, "exalted" is used here in a good connotation. For me, Christmas from now is not the same with Christmas from childhood... but I remember the scent!
It is and it isn't, Dan. You can take snippets of it, like the scent of pine and remember days of old. We carried forth Christmas for our kids and someday, Grandchildren. We will want to show them Christmas past. Our Christmas and what it was like.
I think. I know I do. Like everything else, I choose to carry a thankful heart all year round and spread the love of Christmas throughout the year. Random acts of kindness is just another way to spread the love all year round.
I love and I want to spread that love so far and wide that we will all walk around with a decorated heart. It's not the same, you are right, but, it can still happen! xo

I find it quite beguiling how Christmas as a time of year follows us through life and onto future generations. When we are young it is an exciting time of gifts, sharing and spending time with family we rarely see the rest of the year. As we get older it's about bringing together our family, investing in the young and caring for the older. This year I will be spreading the gift of Steemit, @old-guy-photos dragged me here kicking and screaming - but the wise soul he is I found my own little niche. To help the platform grow we need more good quality content creators - and many of them are right with us our closest and dearest - to generate rich and unique content you need people with rich and unique experience.

I have been called crazy because I keep Thanksgiving in my heart - all year long. I think it is right where it belongs. Christmas... Oh, Christmas. I pair up random acts of kindness with a piece of Christmas without the snow. Usually, I find that one act of kindness generates at least two or three on the one person and passing it down creates an epidemic. And then it fizzles.
But, I don't care. As long as I can breathe and feel the feeling, I will continue. I know.
