Palace of Madre Island ( ENG - ITA )
The palace of the Madre Island on Major Lake has been opened to the public since 1978, its furnishings come from the various Borromean family houses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
There are a multitude of porcelain and livery, family paintings, tapestries and canopy beds in baroque style.
Part of the palace is dedicated to the puppets of the Borromean home that involved them with friends and servitude in the mid-17th century.
It was built in the 16th century on the ruins of the church / cemetery of Saint Vittore.

Il palazzo dell'isola Madre sul Lago Maggiore è stato aperto al pubblico dal 1978, i suoi arredi provengono dalle varie dimore della Famiglia Borromeo derivanti dal XVI e XVII secolo.
Vi si trovano una moltitudine di porcellane e livree, dipinti di famiglia, arazzi e letti a baldacchino, lo stile è quello barocco.
Una parte del palazzo è dedicato alle marionette della casa Borromeo che li coinvolse con amici e servitù nella metà del XVII secolo.
E' stato edificato nel XVI secolo sui resti della chiesa/cimitero di San Vittore.
