A Relaxing Space Inside Daan Park MRT Station - 台北捷運大安森林公園站裡的一個小天地

I have been living in Taipei and using MRT (subway) for more than a decade. Yet I did not know that there is a very cosy space inside this Daan Park Station until last weekend. Of course, one reason being that it's a relatively new station but still it has been there for quite a few years; the other reason is that we do not ride this line of MRT often.

This space , which you will see in a bit, reminds me of Singapore - nice, neat, modern but not much excitement in any way. But oh we definitely need, no, love this kind of space now since we become parents! What more can you ask for? Right in side a MRT station that is not far, kids can enjoy the sunshine without worrying rains, big enough for kids to exercise a little bit and the view of a half-moon shaped pool is great. Oh, there are two restrooms!! Not to mention that there are free Wifi, some chairs and tables, power sockets ... Bring your laptop here!

I used to be a traveler as well, so I know how this kind of place is sometimes very important for travelers - a place for them to take a break, have a rest, recharge the phone, surf the internet ... before moving on to the next destination. So in this light, if you plan to visit Taipei soon, mark this station! The famous Yong-Kang St is only 5-10 mins walk away, although Dongmen Station is the closet station to Yong-Kang street, it's not easy to find a place to have a rest for free there though...

上週才發現台北捷運大安森林公園站裡頭竟然有一塊舒服的小空間，非常適合帶小小孩去那邊走動。空間設計很開闊，還有一片半月形的戶外水池區。玻璃天空下有空調，不怕下雨還可以曬曬太陽，有座位區，甚至可以席地而坐，有些插座可以充電，也有市政府提供的30分鐘免費Wifi。小孩都五歲了我們才發現這裡，但為時不晚，以後一定常來這裡盤旋：爸媽可以在這裡滑一下手機（但可別忘我到孩子不見了啊！），孩子帶個玩具或是想稍微跑跑也是可以的。交通方便又免費，實在太夢幻！

這裡離知名的永康街商圈走路應該5-10分鐘可到，雖然東門站才是正確車站，但在那邊，這一站這種舒服且免費的地方是找不到的，吃完芒果冰、小籠包，逛完商店....一定需要歇一歇，來台北旅行的朋友可以註記一下這一站喔！森林公園倒是沒什麼好逛的... 除非.... [詳見後續帖子囉~~~~]

水景表演，每個整點上演，在戶外看的話，聽水聲與感受水氣比較有感覺~~~ 不怎麼特別但很舒服。

Normally I don't pay attention to this kind of plate on the wall, but I was too curious about this space and its structure so I took a look at it and I was like okay that explains it ... World Gold Winner in 2015 ... No wonder this place is so comfortable ...

通常牆壁上的這類牌子我都沒太注意，但是對於這個空間實在很好奇，所以就去看一下，才恍然大悟，喔，得獎作品哪！還是世界金獎呢，難怪感覺在這裡很舒服~~~
