🍺 Allagash Brewery Deep-Dive in Pictures 📷

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Back in the beginning of September of this year my wife and I vacationed in New England. After spending several days in Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, we drove to Portland Maine to spend an additional few days before heading back to New Jersey.

What follows is a fairly large collection of captures from our tour of the Allagash Brewing Company.

My wife's favorite beer is their famous flagship Allagash White, so of course this great Brewery was a priority stop on this vacation. We were each treated to a free beer flight and the tour was one of the better brewery tours we've experienced!

It looks like a very great place to drink a really good beer. The whole industry has taken a huge turn for the so much better. So many good beers and fun places to imbibe. Looking in at the 'how to' is so much fun as well. Thanks for sharing another of them.

Yeah it was a cool place to hangout and sample some good beer.

Going to check this out when I go , amazing 🍻

I'm sure you'll be glad you did, it was pretty cool and the best of the three tours we did in New England, the other two being Harpoon (in Vermont) and Shipyard (also in Portland).

That's awesome , I would love to travel the world one day

That was the complete experience amazing pics :)

Thanks, I know I over-did it with the photo-dump this time, but ...

Great collection of photos. I love me some Allagash beer - i know i'd love this tour! I am a fan of those stainless pint glasses. Also, I wonder what that 11% abv Curieux was like!? Yikes that's intense beer :)

Well, I can say that I highly recommend the Allagash tour if you're ever in Portland. The folks were super nice and our guide was very knowledgeable. And the beer isn't too shabby either!!!

Kind of an overload of photos. I might need to check out that brewery if I ever visit the northeast though.

Agree on the overload, I should have split it into several posts, but just got lazy this time 🙃 It's a really interesting brewery and I bet you'd like it.

Hey @cognoscere

Yeah, I've known a few people who prefer beer on ice, whatever floats your beer 👍🏼

We have the Molson's brewery not too far from here - in Toronto. When we drive by there is a heavy hops smell - did you experience that on your tour? I find it can be a bit too much personally. I noticed you wore earpieces - was that for noise reduction?

You should try to sell some of your photos to the companies - they are really good! Maybe they'd include them in a brochure or something.

Yeah the bitter smell of hops is a bit on the "whoa" side. I happen to like IPAs which are often much more hoppy. My wife prefers the Belgian whit beers like Allagash White.

Some people are wearing headphones, is noisy there?

I adore such beer places! Cool photos.

Amazing review. I'm envious! I like the quality of the photos. It really makes you want to try it. I'm off to find a new beer, nevermind the fact that it's 10 am. Join #beersaturday @detlev for more info! Prizes!

Thanks @buzzbeergeek!!!
