Follow the Allagash Road (For Free Beer)
Stopped at the Allagash Brewery to take a tour and sample my wife's favorite beer: Allagash White.
The Allagash Brewery tour included a free beer flight -- sweet!!!
As you'll see in the below images, there was a cool mosaic-glass inlay in the floor on the upper level of the brewery.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT #1: Allagash stores the kegged Allagash White upside-down so that when it's ready to be served, the vendor can simply flip the keg upright and this serves to stir up the contents and preserve the cloudy appearance that is a signature of this Belgian-inspired wit beer.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT #2: Allagash informed us that "skunky beer" is more a result of UV-exposure (i.e. sunlight) and much less due to temperature variations.

Looks like an interesting tour - Heaps of choice for craft beer in Portland of course....
I like the mosaic beer. That's a nice little decorative detail. I'm not a big drinker but it looks like a cool place to visit and learn a bit about the brewing process and difference of beers.

Allagash White is one of my favorites as well. Nice post - can't go wrong with free beer!
