The difficulty of abandonment.

These two shots were born by chance during another photo session.
What struck me was the fact of having found a computer, now unusable, in a place where there was nothing else.
Who left the computer? Why was he in that place? What is his story? What did it contain and what was it used for?
I don't know why I was assailed by all these questions which obviously will never be answered.
I think everything is due to the intrinsic charm of the objects, which even if inanimate they bring with them stories and memories.
Most of the time I find it hard to separate myself from something, I tend to accumulate all that was part of my life, but in recent times I have realized that it is also essential to let things go, while keeping the memory alive.

Questi due scatti sono nati per caso durante un'altra sessione fotografica.
Ciò che mi ha colpito è stato il fatto di aver trovato un computer, ormai inutilizzabile, in un posto dove non c'era altro.
Chi ha abbandonato il computer? Perchè si trovava proprio in quel posto? Qual è la sua storia? Cosa conteneva e per cosa veniva utilizzato?
Non so perchè sono stato assalito da tutte queste domande a cui ovviamente non ci sarà mai risposta.
Penso che tutto sia dovuto al fascino intrinseco degli oggetti, che anche se inanimati portano con se storie e ricordi.
Il più delle volte faccio fatica a separarmi da qualcosa, tendo ad accumulare tutto ciò che ha fatto parte della mia vita, ma in questi ultimi tempi mi sono accorto che è fondamentale anche lasciar andare le cose, pur mantenendone vivo il ricordo.
