I spent a few weeks on that island in 2007 ...
... it was in winter and I wasn't a tourist ...
... I was there for some family reasons ...

... there was enough time for long touristic walks ... and some photographs ...

... I had a room in town called Vela Luka ... a place you already saw on all these pictures ...

... a picturesque small town ...
... along the long and narrow bay ...
... surrounded by hills ...
... on the Island called Korchula ...

... in the southern part of the Croatian Adriatic, between the cities of Split and Dubrovnik ...
... I was there in February ...

... the carnival time ...
... when is not unusual ...
... to meet a fish out of water ...

... or a bunch of Mediterranean penguins ...
... very rare species ...
... so rare... that many actually refuse to believe in their existence ... in spite of the many witnesses and these photographs that can prove the thing beyond any doubt ....
... there was music ...
... and marionettes ...
... and some creepy monsters ...
... also appeared for the occasion ...
... people of Vela Luka ...
... became trippy versions of themselves ...
... unleashed the imagination and let it roam through the reality ...
... adding many vivid colors ...

... was passing by ... accompanied by the fatty spider-man ... and a baby spider-man ...

... there was another giant creature ... but I don't know who she was ...

... after the long walk ...
... along the long and narrow bay ...

... where watching the surreal spectacle ...
... and the musicians were on their way home ...
