Panoramic view from the observation tower of the Kazan Kremlin

I made this panorama picture last summer during a trip to Kazan (Russia).

The Kazan Kremlin is one of the main, if not the most important attraction of Kazan. Its history begins with the 10th century. The modern stone Kremlin was built in the 16th century.

The territory of the Kremlin is on an elevation and is surrounded by tall, thick stone walls. Inside the Kremlin there are many historical buildings, as well as the modern mosque Kul Sharif, built on the site of a mosque destroyed in the 16th century during the assault of Kazan by the troops of the Russian Tsar Ivan Groznyi (Ivan the Terrible). You can see this mosque on the picture.

When I was walking through the kremlin territory I saw a observation tower that was built in the thick wall of kremlin. I went to the top of this tower and made a panorama from about 10 portrait oriented shots. You can see the wall right in the center of the frame.

To the left of the wall you can see a string of tourist buses, which brought a lot of visitors to the Kremlin.

Still to the left of the white building in the form of a UFO is the building of a circus.

Together with the heavy clouds in the sky, this sight impressed me greatly.
