Visiting - Sphere Caracas 360

Today I want to share with you, one of the most famous works of the Venezuelan plastic artist, Jesus Soto.
It is a sculpture of kinetic art, called Sphere Caracas 360, which was installed in 1997, at the Santa Cecilia Distributor of the Francisco Fajardo Highway in Caracas, (Venezuela).
This sculpture consists of 1,800 rods of hollow aluminum material, each de of an inch and fastened by guayas of 2.5 millimeters thick of stainless steel, which are suspended in a metal structure 12 meters high in one reinforced concrete base.
This beautiful sculpture, adorns the highway of all that we visit the Santa Cecilia dealer. At night this sculpture is illuminated and is really very striking. (I could not take pictures at night).
It should be noted that this sculpture has been the victim of acts of vandalism, so it has been restored on 2 occasions, the last one being in 2014, and a security system has been placed for its protection. Here we can see the plaque of his last reopening. (a bit worn by the weather)
