Once Upon A Morning Frost ..
One day long long ago (this morning), I awoke to a light fog and temperatures in the low 30°F. The mist had settled around many things such as grass, leaves, sticks, rocks, roofs, and other such objects. When temperatures were cold enough, the mist had turned into frost. The frost gently collected here and there, forming a blanket of white. By 8am the sun had risen far enough to melt the mornings beauty. The air was warmer and birds began to chirp. The story was over, but not before I was able to collect a few photographs.
Now enough of the poetic interpretations ..
As the dogs were making their rounds and performing their business, I was able to take a few photographs of the light frost on objects around the yard. Some of them are neat while others are just okay I suppose.
First up is a dried up curled Mapleleaf. It’s nestled into the grass and perfectly curved on either side. You can see the frost fibers just attached to the tips of the leaf edges.
Here we have an oak leaf that has fallen to the ground and is now laying on top of the grass blades. I like how the frost is sort of highlighting the venetian of a leaf.
Another Oakleaf was found a short distance away poking up through a clump of grass. Only the top portion of the leaf was visible and gleaming in the new sunlight.
The Frost was a little heavier in the garden area. You can see the amount on some weeds that are still somewhat green.
In another part of the garden I placed a pumpkin from this fall season. It will rest here and eventually rot away during the winter months. In the spring a new pumpkin plant will arise from this location and hopefully provide us with a new pumpkin patch.
The top of the pumpkin collected some frost which is unnoticeable except for a portion of the stem.
some dandelion flowers, that have gone to seed, still remain in the yard and have somehow escaped being cut down by the mower. The frost had settled on the plant and the seeds. I wish that my macro shot was a little crisper.
Here is the up close macro shot of the dandelion flower which is now a grouping of dandelion seeds.
Even the warmer rocks in the garden were successful at collecting a little ice. They weren’t as pretty though. Maybe a heavier frost would have been more impressive.
Here’s Molly shivering as I take these photographs. Reminding me that I should get her inside or the safe and warm. I picked her up warmed her paws and carried her in.
The morning sun is now peaking above the horizon. Soon all of the above will be only a memory. Tomorrow is hopeful for more frost. Only then will I have a chance at more photos.
You can just make out the light fog which played a role in this light frost. I am blessed to wake up to such a beautiful scene every day. Smile smile.
I can’t very well leave you without including a black-and-white photograph. I couldn’t help myself!
Till next time, have a great day and thank you for your continued support!

Both @ArtTurtle and @Artopium (and perhaps soon @thejollyroger) are being needlessly downvoted by themarkymark. The more the delegator bots

pure vindictiveness as you know these bots are not spam and are powered by your steem power. Please help out by upvoting this comment

He creates blacklists of thousands of Steemians he deems "inappropriate". I believe he is a majority cause for the drop in
the price in steem as he wrecklessly downvotes random content causing people to want to leave Steemit. Since he has over 500,000 SP
he can do quite a bit of damage, so it's going to take a concerted effort to get him to stop. Thank you!
