Milky Way in Arizona
I took these photos in Arizona over a community to demonstrate how it gets more difficult to see the milky way as you get closer to light pollution. Many communities in Arizona use special lights that only point down to help reduce light pollution. Some street lights only come on when they detection motion from cars on the road, all these solutions help to protect the dark sky and reduce energy costs.
Here is the original photo before applying an edit in lightroom
Another shot a little closer, notice how it gets harder and harder to see the Milky Way as you get closer to the light source from the community.
Here is the original with no edits other than resize and watermark
Photos taken with a Canon EOS 6D

Wow! These photos are stunning. Thanks so much for sharing these.
Thank you, its really nice to have others appreciate the Dark Sky as much as I do!
awesome with the gif! Props for the hours of work that went into this one.
I appreciate that, most people do not understand all the variables and time that you have to put in to capture the milky way.
P.S. The gif was from a Time-lapse I captured at Bryce Canyon
love the tripod kick at the end. great sequencing.
I amazing the see the night sky like this, there too much light pollution in the cities to see this.
The only chance you get to see it in a big city is if you have a blackout and that doesn't happen often.
Nice photography great article dear friend @azfix

wow~ beautiful~!!
Thanks @greenjuice
Bad news for us. Page has decided to replace it's street lights to white LEDs probably 4000K. The city already causes problems for parks nearby and it will only get worse. Winslow chose filtered LEDs and it looks great.
@azfix got you a $1.29 @minnowbooster upgoat, nice! (Image: pixabay.com)

I remember long ago when I first moved from the city to the country, looking up and was like WOW where did all that come from LOL
ha ha, its easy to forget about if you are in a location with lots of light pollution at night
Wonderful Milky Way! Really great shot! I like them all! ;)
