What A Day....
This week has been quite a stressful week even though it just started. I took my car in to change the color of my headliner from grey to black as well as the sunroof sliding cover. My car has all black leather interior and wood grain and I just wanted it all to be dark inside.
Well.... I ended up taking my car to a place that had no idea how the electrical system in a Mercedes works. Not only did they break my key, my killswitch no longer works, the buttons for my interior lights were installed backwards and that is no way how my car was. They put it in writing they’d repair it on their dime but they only managed to make a bigger electrical mess and break my alarm so I had to call my insurance which asked me to have the business give me their commercial business insurance information. The man went crazy telling me not to involve the insurance and that he wanted to take my car to his house overnight and take it to his friend who could fix it. No way was I going to do that. Good thing my sweetheart was there and I called my cousin to come down (the Italian side of me). Well long story short I did involve my insurance and the man lost his mind. He did a great job with the upholstery part but now my car has to go to the dealer to get rewired. That’s easily around $800 at the Mercedes dealership. Plus I’m going to need a new key which is $200. If my insurance can’t take care of it I know small claims court will.
I paid for the upholstery job, but not for the additional “repairs”. What a day right? I feel so defeated. I made my appointment for Thursday to get it fixed. Today my sweetheart took it in to get detailed as they left it all dusty. At least it looks great. Ugh.
I’m exhausted.
Now to have some tea and read a book....

Hey @artdellavita, I burst out into some disgruntled groaning as I read what happened in your day. Geez.
I sure hope that this gets resolved for you in as simple a way as possible...and hopefully you don't have to go to court. I'm having to do that for some matters now, too, and it's tedious!!

I feel so bad for venting but I was so exhausted and feeling so downtrodden. I can’t believe they were so unprofessional, I wish I would have left my car as it was :( thank you for sympathizing with me.
I too would rather avoid court but the expenses are going to be ridiculous, I honestly hope my insurance can do something about this.
