A Date Worth 7 Years Waiting For.... French Restaurant Goodness!
We had plans to go to a new Italian restaurant by the beach but by a whim of luck plans were changed and we ended up driving uptown to Kensington to a French restaurant I had been dying to try for a couple of years~ Bleu Bohéme.
Every time I had driven by this place I always wished to go with someone special on a date there. Everytime that someone was Jason. We were separated for 7 years yet that’s whose name my heart spoke when I’d drive by this quaint candlelit bistro a la Francaise....
So my heart did a little dance and my eyes welled up with happy tears when we pulled into Bleu Bohéme.
We started with the Planche~ a well served charcuterie and cheese board that included crostini, French cheeses, sliced cured meats and delicious pâté and a French cured pork spread with pistachios. So delightful and paired excellenty with the merlot we had!
The fresh baked French artisanal bread was excellent too!
For our entree Jason had the Boeuf Bourguignon....
I had the mussels a la mariniere with truffled pomme frites. Extremely good!
For dessert he had an espresso and I a smooth French roast coffee with a hazelnut crepe which we could not finish!
It was indeed a beautiful date, my dream date because I was with the person I love. The only person I ever dreamt of going to Bleu Bohéme with.
