In the Shadow of the Gran Hotel
Looking up at the Gran Hotel in Arrecife from the waterside boardwalk.
Down at the bottom the blue glass shines in the sunlight.
A little to the left is the town beach.
And to the right are shops apartments and restaurants

Another view across the boardwalk to the beach
And in the opposite direction the sea and the castle comes into our view.
The turquoise waters meet the light blue sky over the bay.
As we keep turning a few little boats can be seen bobbing on the calm water.

The view of the tiny island just off the coast,
Connected by a beautiful bridge.
Sadly the island is a bit of a lost cause. They have tried many times to build a tourist attraction here but it always fails. So at present is is a home to the homeless of Lanzarote.
