Crowd and Cannabis ! Celebrated Maha Shivaratri !!
We celebrate some unique and interesting festivals here in Nepal. We enjoyed one of the great festivals "Maha Shivaratri" last week. Details about this festival is in my last post and hope you enjoyed it. Today I want to share some photos of this festival.
Crowd:
Crowd gathered outside of the temple area and queue of worshipers inside the temple area entering main temple. There was four queue of more than 1 km.
Worshipers !
Worshipers holding Incense Sticks, lighting diyos and praying in front of the temple outside of the main temple. Taking photos is not allowed inside of the main temple.
Sadhus!
Different types of Sadhus (Baba/yogi ).
1. Shy Sadhu
2. Decorated Sadhu
3. Buzzed/Baked Sadhu
4. Senior Sadhus

Is Rasta-fari based on some of these "traditions" ? Like growing dreads and smoking weed. Plus i heard these guys are major respected in the cast-system in India?
I don't think so . Its a part of Hindu tradition ! Mostly they are respected as upper cast in India but in Nepal there is no any rules . Any one can be a Sadhus or Yogi.
I mean the Rastas got it from the Hindu's !
