Black Wardrobe Thoughts

in #photography7 years ago

The more I sit on the chair thinking how to write the introduction for this post, the more I hate it. Not because I hate posting on Steem, but because I hate this back pain, that miraculously got bold after going to the doc and doing checkups, probably thanks to the mental energy that I invested in it, knowing and being obsessively aware that sitting for long periods of time is not good for me.

I might exaggerate a bit, because it feels a bit hard to get used with the diagnostic, but that's how I currently look at life. Through black and white lenses that need to be polished and transformed to some more colorful and better vibed ones asap.

Hence my photography post for today has been blessed with B&W filters. I know, some of you like them, some not. I wasn't a big fan of such photos either, for many years, but I noticed the beauty in it recently. It makes my pics look more like some sort of art work, rather than just smartphone shots snapped here and there. Or at least that's how I see them.

We didn't had filters decades ago and I remember most of my family's photo albums were black and white photographs. I was born in colors though and ever since my one year birthday photo shooting I kept all my printed pics in a sort of collection. Don't ask me to upload any cuz there's less than 1% chances I will, but it is amazing to observe how much tech has evolved and how much our eyes can see nowadays.

Some are blessed though to have touched and experienced many of this century's miracles on earth. Like my friend's grandma that is over 90 years old and lived to see life through both the world wars, got to fly a plane multiple times, and even watch youtube on VR. Yes, the old lady has a VR experience on her back... Funny, isn't it?

We live interesting times and the pace at which tech is spitting gadgets at us is unbelievable. I still tend towards a conservative mindset that doesn't eat whatever flies on the sky and that might benefit me or not. I don't like VR though and don't plan on using it... neither 5G. I like my reality palpable and as healthy as it can be, both physically and mentally. Even when it's seen just in black and white, like the following pics.

Hope your back pain improves. Check how you're sleeping, it may the wrong position or perhaps weak core muscles.

It's almost 90% a herniated disc but you have a point here. My sleeping positions are very weird. I am struggling now to develop the habit to sleep on my back. It seems the healthiest one.

I feel ya man. Stay strong though, and keep moving...And taking great shots like these!

You're welcome.

Oh, I've been there. I know how awful it can be. Sending hugs and love for these photos.

Thank you. Appreciate your comment.
