Few weeks ago, on a Tuesday night, I went to a meetup at Ann Siang Hill. After it ended, I took a walk to Chinatown MRT train station going through Smith Street which is also called food street.
几个星期前的一个星期二晚上，我去了安祥山的一个聚会。结束后，我走进牛车水沿着史密斯街（也称为美食街）走去地铁站。

The food stalls on the left competing with the restaurants in the right.
熟食摊位在左边跟右边的餐馆竞争。
Here is a stall selling BBQ chicken.
这摊卖烧鸡翅膀。
Here is a roast meat stall.
这里是烧腊摊位。
This tze char (stir fried) stall seems quite popular.
这煮炒摊位好像挺受欢迎的。
At the end of the food stalls here and it seems not so crowded that night.
在熟食摊位的尾端而这里当晚不是太多人。
Here are many stalls selling many souvenirs. I can see the Mid-Autumn decorations were still up as I walk through this kind of market of cooked food.
这有很多卖纪念品的。比走着这熟食市场我看见中秋灯饰还挂着。
This lantern on top is quite nice.
在上面这灯笼挺美的。
The next street has many restaurants too.
下来这条街也有很多家餐馆。
This one is a desserts store.
这家是甜品店。
Next street has souvenir shops and restaurants among other.
下一条街有纪念品店和餐厅。
This is also near one of the entrances to Chinatown MRT train station and I was already hungry as I still haven't have dinner.
这也是牛车水地铁站入口之一。由于我还没吃晚饭，我已经饿了。

I am always amazed and most of the Asian countries how many stalls and food trucks and food streets there are! I know very few people but cook everyday and it is actually a better deal to buy dinner out then it is to cook it. There are some days that I wish it was like that over here although I usually don't mind cooking. But if food was that cheap here oh, I think I would be tempted to eat out a lot more. I never eat out and it really doesn't have anything to do with being cheap it is more economical plus it taste better at home. On the contrary your Cooks always taste good or maybe it's just because I love Asian food and cannot cook it properly. I want to thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put a post together for the market Friday challenge. Your support is much appreciated.

We don't have that many food trucks but I've been seeing more in the last few years. I love that options we have despite we keep complaining that things keep becoming more expensive. Thanks for coming and thanks for the tip.
