In the name of development, some of the old schools have been demolished. Some have relocated to a newer and more modern facilities. Others were not so luck and are just gone. Some of the old building of schools survived the demolition ball but got converted to other uses. One of which is this building of Saint Joseph Institution. It is now home to the Singapore Art Museum. I took these 2 photos with my Samsung Galaxy S8 a few days ago. There was another which is not too far from these that was converted to one place with restaurants, bars and event space. I can’t say it right or wrong to convert former schools to other use but until this day when I go to Chijmes and see the pubs there, I still feel weird thinking it was formerly a Catholic school. I once went to a Catholic school too. :-)

因为要发展。。。，一些旧学校已被拆除。 有些人搬迁到有更新设施的地点。其他就悄然离去。一些旧学校的建筑物算侥幸避过拆除却转为其他用途。 其中之一就是前圣约瑟书院的这座建筑。几天前经过就拍了这两张照片。现在它是新加坡艺术博物馆的所在地。还有一个离这里不远是以前的圣婴女修院转换为赞美广场-里面有餐厅，酒吧和活动空间。 我也不提将以前的学校改为其他用途是对是错，但直到今天没经过赞美广场看到里面的的酒吧时，总觉得怪怪的。毕竟它以前是一所天主教学校。 我曾经上过一所天主教学校。:-)
