Toying with the anamorphic format [part 3]
The end game of all my anamophic experiments was to see how I can integrate this in my studio workflow.
If you want to learn more about this check out my first and 2'nd post about the anamophic format.
Light setup
So i took out my old halogen lights and a florescent lamp so I can toy around with the flare generated my DIY filtre (a fishing lin placed in a cardboard cutout).
And here are a few tings I've learned while doing this for the first time
- take your lens hood off if you want any flare
- the fishing lin has to be perfectly vertical
- it's way easier to have the flare where you want it if you put your camera on a tripod
- shoot theaterd if you can
- the thickness of the fishing line will afect the size of the flare
- you can use a colored marker to change the color of the flare
