Transfagarasan in Winter
One of my favorite images from a weekslong mother-daughter road trip through Romania. It was taken at Balea Lac (altitude 2,034 m) in the Fagaras Mountains. If you know what Transfagarasan looks like (or can look it up), you may be able to trace it in the photo, although it's covered with snow. So the only way up there was by cable car, which I always enjoy! We were lucky enough to catch the last ride of the day and a memorable sunset.
