Amazing star photos! .The Perseids happen every year on my birthday so they are really special to me. Some years I have been in places on my birthday that it was more conducive to seeing the show than other years, It looks like you were in a great place with a wonderful view of the sky to capture these marvelous photos!

I have traveled to dark skies on my birthday in the past, but it is hard to find a place around here with good night skies. Chicago and Milwaukee both cause too much light pollution. Unless I can get out of this area, I seldom even make an attempt to see them any more. I did try this year, but no luck.
i did live for a while in a small town (50.000 people) and maybe i did not pay attention to the stars then, but i can't even imagine not to see them. we do take some things for granted in life.
I am happy you can take them for granted. That is the way it should be.
