Cape Liptrap Lighthouse

in #photofeed5 years ago

I love discovering new places near Melbourne that I never knew existed, it's such a rarity. I stumbled upon this place on Google maps when scouting for somewhere to shoot, I was so surprised I hadn't seen any photos of it around Instagram before. The location had a lot of potential for interesting compositions and I couldn't wait to check it out.

There's not a lot of other things to see in the immediate area which probably keeps the visitor numbers down. There is a lighthouse there and many other coastal features worth photographing, but on this occasion the wind was too high. I took this photo from behind some rocks that kept the tripod stable. Trying to shoot in the wind was just not worth it for a steady photo though. The waves crashing on the rocks were massive as well. I might put together a few other shots and share them later.

Anyway...Cape Liptrap.

Wow, that looks so magical!

A little different to the stormy conditions at the time!
